Buying ships/fleet etc with real world money?

I'm deadly serious here - for me grinding for fleet is clearly out of space. Instead of spending my time and life to do so - I willing to pay in real money for it.
And automatically - I believe that we should be able to but stuff - you can grind and is fine by me - but if someone wants to skip this part - frontier should give him this option
Let's also be real about amount here...

The entire time of the existence of Elite that's been against FDEV policy, spending money for an in game advantage is just not on. Maybe you should play Star Citizen?

right ...
you can grind and is fine by me
ok ...
but if someone wants to skip this part
Yes please. I definitely want to skip grinding butt stuff.
frontier should give him this option
As long as I'm not forced to do any grinding butt stuff.

errmm...

p.s. I know its a typo, but its a funny typo.

Have to wonder why you have the game at all, what you propose besides being against the TOS and against the grain, defeats the whole purpose of gaming.
take your money.....

play.
enjoy.

We should see how this would work out soon. Now FC can sell you the endgame EDO gear ppl will be able to 'skip to the end' of EDO in minimal time. I kinda expect more 'why is there nothing to do in EDO?' posts as people realise there is no end-game and the mat gathering process is the game ... fun times!

I love comments here - cheers for that !!!

1) online game - that's tag with elite. What kind of cash flow exempt your first purchase you guys provide to frontier? Buying non visible cosmetics? I only see my ship on the login screen - that's it. And everyone shouting - we need more content... They need more money - let's find a golden spot. I forgot here that I bought my cosmetics with ARC, the same currency I earn in game thru my game. Profit to Frontier - zero. Frontier need to pay for servers and game infrastructure. Seems like people on this forum want only to drain instead think about future of the game.

2) I never said that buying with real life money going to be change how we obtain things in the game now - juts like Warframe - another way to get them. If I want to grind - I grind, if I decide to pick up my credit card and speedup this process - that's individual choice. Is no game breaking mechanics - we have ARC already in the system - let's use them.

3) who said I don't have account in Star Citizen? But I'm currently on Elite Dangerous forum and give me a free advertisement of competition product prove my point 1 - looks like people on this forum don't think about elite future.

4) sub forum has name - suggestion - this mine suggestion - let's put frontier in healthy spot and let's stop advertise other games here :)

Peace to everyone :)

The Panther Clipper XL costs $300 I'm told by a very reliable source, and the Cobra Mk 4 about $600.
If they put the MkIV up on the store for a certain amount of money, something enough to appease spiteful backers, I'd buy it.

Now, obviously I don't support what OP is asking for because it's stupub even if it didn't also mean a slippery slope to egregious ripoff practices.

But a one time thing just to fix the Cobra IV problem, yeah I'd support that.

What you are missing in logic, is that once you start to allow bypass gameplay by paying real money for "stuff", then you have now opened up the much bigger issue, grind... as now there will be an incentive from FDev to increase the grind, to entice you todo just what you want todo. pay to bypass grind....

But more to the point, what would you do in the game once you have bought everything? you have all the stuff you want with maxed out engineering, and then what? what would you actually do to keep yourself entertained?

I will be doing robigo passanger mission till the end of my days :D Or like now - sometimes go to hunt pirates. And maybe do some mining.

No - I know - I will do my dream:

I put my ships on my fleet - fly away in to the black, monday - do explo, tue - mining, wed - min, thu - explo, fri - slowly back to bubble, sat - sell my stuff what I mine, sun - fly with my fleet to black. That's my plan.

To archive my plan I have to do spend few years grinding stupid things what not interest me on any level and maybe - with time I had enough money to buy fleet...

But seriously - guys - you missing my point. You can if you want to grind everything - but give other option to skip this process.

If game don't have nothing more to offer than grind - well... I think let's wait till the elite end...

We are not missing the point, it is clear that you do not have a clue what you will do once you have everything.... so this will undoubtedly lead to your next suggestion, complain about how you have all the best stuff, and nothing todo... This is not a far fetched conclusion, as many player have reached this point already, and thus made these kind of complaints...

and it is quite clear that you are trolling a bit here, as you lists two credit giving activities, so those two alone should earn you enough credits and more to buy every to you available ship in the game. So that just leaves engineering, and for those activities you have listed, there is not much engineering needing on those to begin with... exploration do not need long jump range, and since you have already brought up the Fleet Carrier, and how you will use that to get around between your activities, so that reduces the need for engineering even more...
