Newcomer / Intro Buying the game with Euros vs USD.

Holdy folks, i'm located in the United States. The cost of the game is $59USD. It however costs only 40 Euros. Can i purchase the game with Euros instead of USD? At the euro being 1.08 dollars its 17 bucks cheaper.

Are there separate servers or something that would crash if i was to do this? Any other complications?

Thanks

I doubt it. What's the difference like between the dollar and pound? I don't think you will save more than a few cents fiddling with currency though.

There are no servers in that sense, it's p2p. You automatically get connected to people close to your location, whether you're at home or abroad. So I really don't see how it should cause any trouble. Can't be sure though, maybe I'm missing something.

Try it.

What's the worst that'll happen?

Worse case the server will be smart enough to know you're in the US and automatically switch to charging you in US Dollars.

He's referring to buying and paying for the game, not the actual game servers/mechanics.

Possible conversion fees from your bank or card issuer, unless you have a euro-denominated card or account.

This... Last time I had to pay something coming from North America, Canada, the charge for conversion and administration was higher than my purchase. Might very well explain the difference in price in the Elite Store between USD and EUR.
