Buzhang Ku "lost ship" and treasure from Visitor Beacon?

So weird I can't find ANY info on this. Even on this forum, my search only comes up with one other person asking about it (like 4 years ago) and the only suggested answer being a generation ship (which evidently it's not).
So, the Visitor Beacon at Buzhang Ku references tales of a "lost ship" in the system. I've hunted down all signals in the system, and no lost ships I can find.
Anyone know anything about this?

I listened to the galnet news about the generation ship a few days ago. Same thing crossed into my mind whether they could be found. They were around a long time ago, yes? Before FSD's came around, hence they were called generation ships because you were born there and possibly died of old age aboard one. If they are very old, it's possible that they have lost the ability to transmit any signals.
Have you checked the planets? Maybe it crashed on one and got buried in the snow or sand.

Aren't most of the tourist beacons player-submitted? (and therefore, not actually representative of anything in-game?)

At the time passenger missions were being designed, I (and numerous others) suggested that every "Tourism" economy ought to be a tourist destination. So FD put beacons around most of the Tourism-econmy planets, and wrote up a little something about them for the beacons. Some contain lore snippets, others seem to have been written in haste; I don't think FD realised until they did this project, just how many Tourism planets were almost-but-not-quite-Earth-like water worlds. There's only so many ways you can talk about almost-but-not-quite-Earthlike worlds before it starts to sound samey.
