I've been in trouble for loitering before, I get it, this time I entered the station forgetting to contact them for permission, loitering timer starts, I thought no problem, turn around, get your stupid "donkey"(forum apparantly doesn't like the other word.) outta there, then suddenly I'm hit with a 400cr fine, again, no problem, I'll pay the fine, and yes, it was a fine not a bounty, then came a "wanted"; seriously, and I'm super friendly with the fed types at this station, I'll tell you what, no more donations to the policeman's ball, that's for sure.

It just got more bizarre, there is no fine in contacts, which as I said was 400cr, but there is now a bounty in transactions for 6,6000cr, I think I scratched the stations paint work.

Either that or you smacked into another ship in the process and it went kaboom. Been playing ED for two years and did that for the first time the other day and it got me a nice dormant bounty in that system. Pro Tip: don't get scanned after that happens because then it turns into a live bounty and the station puts on a special fireworks show just for you. :D

What's your ship? Sounds like you kissed a sidewinder on your way out.

To those asking, I can safely say no other ship was involved, I got my cobra wedged on the way out, if there was another ship, it was up my donkey.

The 6k credit bounty definitely sounds like a killed ship. Maybe you killed someone in this system a few months ago but never paid the bounty. Everyone forgot about it (including you) and it turned into a legacy bounty. You now committed crime and got scanned by an authority ship, this should reactivate the old bounty.

I drifted into a station once without asking for docking permission, back when I was in my Vulture, and got slapped with a 400cr fine immediately. Countdown timer went from 60 seconds to 20 too, never NOPE-d the hell out so fast before or since [noob]

It's my base, as I said, super friendly with the locals, though I'm tired of crawling up someones donkey for favors, think I'll go take some pot shots at Goliath just for laughs.


Oh yeah, my ship was a Cobra, but not a problem, got an Asp, a Vulture and a Python.
