Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz - Audio Problem - Something New and Annoying in the Game

Friday night (after 8:00 p.m. MDT, USA time), a new sound suddenly appeared in my headset: "Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz Bzzz" endlessly buzzing.

This is something new and it's definitely from FD servers. If I leave the game or Training, the buzzing disappears. If I enter Solo, Open Play, or Training, the endless buzzing returns. No matter where I am in the game, no matter what I am doing, the buzzing persists. Support: Please determine what sound has been added to the game audio and remove it. It is incredibly annoying.

It's hard to overstate how annoying this sound is.

P.S. I play on an XBox 1 and have the full game.

Been scanning planets for settlements by any chance? Sounds like the scanner audio bug to me. Restarting game only fix.

I had the same problem, and yeah it was after I did some scans. Also confirm it was gone after restart, but still there when I quit to menu then log back.

I submitted a bug report on the scanner audio bug a short while ago...ever since I've been trying to capture it on video....no luck so far...will probably come back after I disable the recording feature...sigh

I have the same problem sometimes. Restarting the game fixes it. Ofc didnt bother to make a bug report that would be ignored or fixed after one year.

I think this is a known bug that affects both PC and Xbox. You need to restart the game client to kill it.

I have tracked this down to the use of an SRV on a planet surface. Any time I go down to a planet's surface to complete scan or salvage missions, when I leave I almost always hear that sound you are referring to.

I believe it is one of the scanner background SFX for the SRV that fails to shut off after getting back into the ship. As others have already mentioned... The only way to clear this annoying BUZZ is to quit the game TO THE DESKTOP.

On the Xbox, it might take a full power down to resolve it, since I am not sure how the XB1 actually handles a game when you quit it.

Only quitting out to the main menu will not resolve this. The game needs to be completely killed and rebooted from the launcher on PC.

By the way... This issue is certainly nothing new. I have been dealing with it since version 2.2.

Until this long reported bug is fixed, anytime you use your SRV, you will need to perform this full shutdown of the game if you want to get rid of the bugged audio file's endless LOOP.

Curiously ..... it stopped every time I removed the grid lines from my camera view ..... then came back again when I restored them or left the camera

Interesting.

Well... It is a bug after all. So being able to disable it through the use of some part of the UI is totally possible. Too bad there isn't a button or switch in the cockpit we can activate to achieve the same result? ;)

Who knows... There might actually be one that no body has stumbled on yet. :)

I've been getting this bug from time to time, and never realized it was a bug. I always thought it was a particularly goofy retro-style music track.
