I pretty much don't like there would be any difference between platforms. EDDB claims that turrets should within 20ly from my actual position (Volkhabe), yet the stations themselves do not have them.
It has nothing to do with different platforms, the state of the galaxy, including outfitting states, is shared across all platforms and modes - it is just data held on the servers.
Availability of modules varies according to many different factors, the mechanisms of which are not known to me, and the info on EDDB and suchlike is entirely dependant upon data provided by players, it is not drawn from the servers, that is not a feature available to these third-party tools.
So the "hunt the module" game is a feature of E D that is much better now that more data is available to EDDB etc than before but it is entirely historical and carries a warning at the top of the page:
"Warning: The module presence is not guaranteed. Stations sometimes go out of stock for some modules. This state is not permanent. This means, you have a chance of finding listed modules in this station. It is not guaranteed though."
I just checked in Ix and they are there so no doubt they are elsewhere.
I used EDDB and I couldn't find C3 MC Turrets anywhere in the designated locations. I've searched like three dozen stations already. :|
Note that there isn't a 3C Turret MC - the wiki is wrong they are 3E Turret MCs.
