Cabot Finch's dinosaur commentary

I have to say I'm loving Cabot Finch's little comments about each species.

I just released a Majungasaurus, wasn't expecting the "Madagascar" reference.

He reminds me of a former boss. Faking interest in my work, but only caring about the bottom line. Cabot Finch seems nicer in general though.

I can do without Claire yelling at me to do better. Not like she set a good example.

For me it works! Every time she pops up I get this weird feeling something disastrous is about to happen, and restock all feeders immediately!

Cabot Finch .. is legend though, Ha.

Cabot Finch is the man! I love Henry Wu's dialogue as well, he's the most enigmatic character.

Really? I thought it was total overkill.

I always thought of him as kind of amoral, of course .. but overkill-wise dig the fact that actually it all seems to have gone to his head and he's getting on a total power trip. None of this WOULD have been possible without Wu after all and though you could say another scientist could have done it, they didn't.

I hate the way Wu is portrayed in JW. In JP novel he was a sympathetic character, always clashing with Hammond (who was a real <inset favorite insult> in the book, for those who don’t know). In the JP movie he was a very minor role but still just a scientist. Haven’t seen the new film yet, but his portrayal in JW and JWE just don’t fit for me. I’d be curious to know what happened to him between JP and JW. Masrani makes it sound like Hammond kept him free of blame in the accident, so what’s made him such a bitter mad scientist?

Haven’t seen it yet either, but it could be that, over time, he got a bit too big for his britches. It’s sorta like my argument with Luke in TLJ. Time and events change people, and with hints that Spinosaurus is actually the first hybrid, it’s possible that this accident changed him for the worse.

Yeah I never really warmed to how they portrayed Wu in the new movies, probably because it was never touched upon as to why he became like that. (In the new movie he's even more crazy). Still enjoyed the film a lot.

Yeah I'm annoyed by that as well. He always seemed to just be filled with the joy of scientific discovery in the book and even the bit part he did in JP. The latest movies and the game just have him as too cynical, even villanous :(

Claire's new role makes no sense either. JW has her as this heartless corporait suit (never mind the running in heels ), but the new game and especially movie has really flipped her around. I just can't see her as a
bleeding heart activist leading a nonprofit trying to save the dinos.

Have to agree, Dr. Wu's evolution as you might call it is a bit weird, comparing with the 1993 movie and much more the novel. But surprisingly he makes for a cool bad guy.. lol They should add some canon story or something to flesh out wu's character tho (like that new novel about Claire's background before she worked for jurassic world) hehe :)

but otherwise i like the characters in game. though claire could use some more emotion imo hahaha.

also owen is funny whenever he pops up, fake chris pratt haha

His quote about letting the dinosaurs fulfill their needs even if their need to kill doesn’t jive with JW for me since he was strongly opposed to setting the raptors free.

For me that (volte face) is actually not that weird. Like somoeone who used to smoke and becomes a militant non-smoker having given up, or the alcoholic who - cured - will preach against drinking, people like this have very close insights and the difference is between hate and love, being other side, of the same coin. Even Roland Tembo is an example I think; For the whole of the Lost World a big game hunter with not a care yet at the end you felt he found it all properly disgusting.

I do think Wu probably did began to believe his own hype, money corrupted? The only inaccurate thing being, I never met a scientist who is that well paid! :p

Well thats kinda what happened to Hammond between JP and JP:LW

yeah, the ingame version of Owen is totally out of character. Moreover he seems to agree with a lot of the stuff Lambert is asking you to do.

Yeah, definitely wouldn't say total overkill.

"Muwahahahaha (cue lightning and thunder in background and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor) soon none of this will matter"
