Engineers Cadmium hot spots?

Looking to finish up my ships tonight with grade 5 dirty drives and I am looking for some where to gather cadmium at a decent pace. Does any one have any hot spots for gathering it they would care to share?

Eta Draconis A7 I'm 90% positive is a place I've found a bunch of cadmium. It was either that or junga 5, but im almost certain it was Eta Draconis. I actually found a bunch while I was there looking for yttrium. I'm searching for specialized legacy firmware and pharmaceutical isolators, to level up Palin to 5 to get my dirty drive, he's the last engineer I have to level for the things I wanted.

Also did you check Galnet at Palin's station for a planet within 30ly of him that has cadmium? I have enough, so I haven't checked, but I've found the planets they give to be great sources for the mineral, I've had no trouble finding whatever I'm looking for using that method.

Haven't had the time. I am trying to keep my spot in this war CG and I'm just taking a short break for the thrusters. Junga 5 seems like I have gotten some there in the past now that you say it. Ill likely hit there.

Those surface rocks which you blast apart and collect the materials, can you detect them from your ship? You can cover a larger area quicker in the ship? Can you direct them, then land when you find something?

no.

you can scout a part of the planet where higher grade materials more likely spawn, though.

and, if you are going for very rare materials, depending on your loading time when switching srv/ship, it can befaster to land, switch to srv, use srv wave scanner 360 degree to check for metallic meteorits, switch to ship, fly 2-5 km and repeat.

I'm not sure, whether or not this is also an 'illusion of control' (as I mentioned in another recent thread), but I've read about this and had indeed good success following the advice:
Make sure you land in one of those differently (usually darker) shaded regions all planets have (not limited to, but probably including craters). The chances for rare materials seem to be higher there.
