An explorer's life can be a challenging one, whether it's wrestling with the pressure of keeping your shiny Fleet Carrier stocked with tritium or going for months on end with only your Asp's COVAS for company. That's why the crew of the DSSV Le Guin are putting together a chance to blow off steam in an SRV. Or more likely, just straight up blow up in an SRV.
This is a completely amateur and most likely ramshackle event, thrown together on the spur of the moment.

What:
This is short notice so we will be planning only three events: The Sweeper, the Laser Gauntlets, and King of the Rock. Please note, there may be changes to the program based on how many people sign up.
The Sweeper:
Contestants will line up in a queue approx 5 SRV lengths apart. A commander will then fly a ship along the ground through the queue. Contestants will need to jump at just the right moment to avoid getting splattered. Each pass the ship will go faster and higher off the ground. Points will be earned in order of survival.
The Laser Gauntlet:
Contestants will race in small groups in a straight line across an open field from the starting line to the ending line. (With drive assist enabled) Spectators armed with lasers will fire on the contestants. 1 in 4 lasers will be harmless mining lasers. There will also be a few plasma rail guns for added entertainment. Points will be awarded for placement.
King of the Rock:
Contestants will start at the base of a small mountain when a 10min timer starts. The player highest on the mountain at times end earns bonus points. Again, drive assist must be engaged at all times.
