Calling all Bounty Hunters... to YEMBO

Obviously YEMBO has become a Pirate magnet due to all the precious metal being moved around for the community goal Station build... I'm not moaning about this as it is all part of the game which is great and as it should be.

I think it's only fair that we call in reinforcements... So, If you like to call yourself a Bounty Hunter and want to get involved why not come over and prove your worth protecting the big haulers :)

I have seen some of ED more famous pirates in the area, I would not dare bring in a T9 at this time just not worth the risk.

Community goal are all going to be completed by solo players eventually. Its not rocket science.......can I say that here?

Where is the fun in that? Hardly a community goal if done in solo... Ban Solo players from the community goals i say. (can't find a tongue in cheek :p:eek::rolleyes::mad:;) )

Fortunately just me what?
Do solo players get a partial refund as they're excluded from part of the content for no reason?

Two pirates currently at Yembo at least, but one of them pays of his bounty so not worth hunting...

Sorry, that was meant somewhat tongue in cheek. let me edit it and see if i can find a 'tongue in cheek' emoticon

But seriously, if pirates come along and all the traders just go to solo instead of asking for help then it's hardly getting 'community' involved is t?

THIS.....if players influence the galaxy, then pirates or groups that are against galactic expansion should at least have the ability to cause this community goal to FAIL!! Normally, I play well with others. But, my character was very much against wasting his company's resources going after a mobile station. So, in my ASP last night, he was going after traders to slow progress and convince them that the build is a futile attempt at meeting this goal. Especially since everyone was trading gold (that leads me to the next point....). So what is this going to be? A Golden Station?

As a gamer, though: I totally support this community goal and I think it's a great way to bring open play players together! Keep them coming!

My next point......If we have a community goal such as this, then the mission needs to have limitations on what metals are required and how much. If we need 100,000 units of gold, then that's it....no more gold. Go get something else. Then once the orders are filled, the event is complete. None of this 6 days of selling max profit gold crap.

EDIT: Before you start criticizing me, I played ALL 3 ROLES LAST NIGHT: Trader, Bounty Hunter, Pirate. And yes, I have been interdicted by players several times, and I enjoy each time. But I also have the right to be an a-hole too sometimes.

I'm not going to criticise you, As i said at the start, Pirates are to be expected as are people wanting the goal to fail... part of the game/human nature.

I know what you are saying about the gold, you'd have thought there would be a list of items and quantities needed.

I wonder if i was the only one not trading gold ;)

Hehe...it's hard not to. As long as Gold is giving everybody max profit, that's what people will go for!

Back tomorrow for some more metals!

Fly safe.

I was there last night, it was dead... so dead i wondered if i'd clicked solo by mistake!

But then with the dullness of running metal to one station plus the sliding profit and the poor cash reward... it's hardly surprising. I wonder what the other rewards are, worth while i'd hope!
