Came back for the New update STILL missing SIMPLE UI Information

The most simple thing to fix a huge omission from the game Mr Dev can be fixed by concatenating the Destination System, with the PHYSICAL Drop off Destination, along with the DISTANCE from the Sun to the mission board !
That's the Main Board AND the Mission Briefing sections.

E.g. Vequess, Agnew's Folly, 712ls

Cemiess and all it's planets bases and stations is a total BALL ACHE to find missions for, as there are so many places to visit.
It would also fix missions that make you fly 100,000's of ls to a destination when you just want to make a quick trade run.

Look at that I've just saved a butt load of opening missions to look for anything that's near where I want to go.
Time to code that in to the game MINUTE'S - Frustration level for the Player Nil !

I could say my wishlist is a new modular ship, that can tow other ships, build stations, transfer base parts, and build a players home base !

BUT I'm not I'm asking for a simple Concatenation of 40 extra chars in to the DESTINATION STRING !

Many thanks on the Update.

LMAO WHO CAN'T READ !

No not on THAT page.... the PREVIOUS PAGE !

Ok I don't get to play that often as I write software for Banks, Mortgage Companies, Insurance Brokers and even Phone Recycler's.
My little head is full of about 10,000,000 lines of code at anyone time, so I really don't have the passion for remembering all of the stations planets etc in a system, as it's not what I play games for.
So when I get time to play I want as smooth an experience as possible, I LOVE THE GAME (nearly 50 and a star wars/galactica/star trek fan) and the Game UI isn't helping me !

When I'm on the Main Mission board, It says Destination xxxxxxx [x.xxLY] that's where the information needs to be.
If I take on a mission there needs to be a quick way for me to go - is that where I'm taking this No, Next, No, Next Yes Great.

Without that I'm constantly opening the Missions and messing about. 40 Characters would save me 10-15 minutes of game play per hour !
Yes I did take the time to check that 10-15 minutes PER HOUR spent looking at missions !

I would DEARLY DEARLY love a filter in game - you select a system you want to go to and it show ONLY relevant missions for that one system.
In the case of Cemiess You could maybe select a base/station and say ok within xxxx distance of that location.

Help that clarifies things for you.

Yesterday I was in Vequess and nearly all of the Factions had between 16 and 26 missions

So if we say 6 factions x 20 missions = 120 missions I had to look at.

So the simple Simple Destination, Location, Distance addition would have saved me game time.
A filter would have been a god send, as now I'm trying to find missions in Cemiess that won't make me fly around the Entire system.

Please Mr Dev. it's like I said a couple of minute fix to a single string !

I agree. Filters are the something missed in this game.

It will be very useful to have possibility of set filters in mission board.

I understand now; can't remember if it's there or not.. but OP says it's not, so I can agree that would be useful; I did the same the other day, wasn't nice opening and closing missions just to the find the ones that tickle my fancy.

For future reference OP, it helps to put suggestions with a mockup so there's no confusion (see the first two links below my sig as examples). :)

Many thanks for agreeing - yeah I will make some mock ups in a bit as I have a few interface requests for searching sorting and grouping that we don't have that would make life soooo much easier.
I just can't believe that in the year whatever lol they don't have the ability to manipulate data in the same way we to today.

I guess they could add in to the time line "Trump instigated a Purge on interface designers, they were driven out of their jobs and starved to death on mass !"
That would explain quite a bit !

Hmm, well I see now what you are saying, basically you feel that clicking on a mission description is wasting your time. Fair enough, each to their own.

Hi Malc,

It's like I said returning to the game, as last time I played my body disappeared in Hyperspace !
As I've hit the game again I need to complete missions to regain my massive faction rank loss, and this needs to be done as QUICKLY as possible in my limited game time !

I'm currently in Vaquess looking to hit to Cemiess for farming/grinding missions as I'm only 81% friendly, and I thought hell I'm spending so much time trying to find a viable mission set that I'd thought I'd ask others if they had the same issue.

Well in the past I always used the mission payout as the prime indicator of whether to click to read the description (although at the moment there is some nonsense going on as there are for example courier missions from the bubble to Colonia for incredibly small relative rewards). The payout level is still a reasonable indication of the supercruise distance I think, at least it looked that way yesterday, although I only did a few missions yesterday.

When looking for rep gain, my primary indicator was the number of "pluses".
