Cameo appearances

Hi everybody,

I came across an NPC named "Honor Harrington" yesterday, named after the hero in the Honor Harrington novels by David Weber (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honor_Harrington). Though in the novels she usually captains capital ships and not dinky sidewinders with no shields She also can't be qualified with "Mostly harmless"

What other cameos did you encounter in your adventures in Elite ?

I've lost track of the number I've seen. Yesterday me and an NPC called Steve Austin (the Six Million Dollar Man) teamed up on a python piloted by Strangely Brown (who copped a packet at Gallipoli according to George in Blackadder Goes Forth). We were joined in our endeavor by several other NPC's with familiar names I've now forgotten because they were late to the party - me and Steve were on our third shared kill you see. I should start making notes of the best ones.

I did have a bit of a giggle when I encountered David Attenborough watching the hostile rituals of snakes near a NAV beacon. As I found out he had a bounty of 4336cr I regretfully ended his most undoubtful glorious description on the event.

Yeah they aren't very good litterature but still kind of addictive
