[Camera Suite] Disable Orbit Lines and Analysis Overlay

Simple request, could it be possible to automatically disable orbit lines and the planetary overlay from analysis mode when entering the Camera Suite please?

Because this neither looks good, or right. Lol

I was about to post that suggestion, but fortunately Google found yours.

I feel like the camera suite shouldn't include any elements of the pilot ui, at least by default, and/or I wish it had an toggle switch within the camera suite controls.

I don't know if the majority has a use for the pilot ui in the external view, but I have a feeling it's not the case.

considering I have used the camera suit for screen shots when explain something to some one or to better show a graphical bug in tickets I would say it should stay. It's not that hard to bind a key combination to turn them off or turn them off in the panel before entering the suit. And I play on a game pad as well so that's not really an excuse. Just bind them to longer combinations as you don't need to use it often and never in the heat of the moment. Such as lb+rb+B+padDown

That said I have never found the need to use a combination of more than two buttons. there are more than enough on a game pad even for elite.

I think if you switch to Combat Mode, it turns it off. That's 'M' on a PC, not sure what it is on Consoles though.
Not sure what Combat Mode does other than that tbh.

Combat Mode does remove analysis overlays on planets and rings, but doesn't remove the orbit lines.

There are workarounds for pretty much any QoL suggestions, but the idea is to improve the intuitiveness and make some things in the game a bit more natural and convenient without having to get around everytime, provided it's not a time consuming change in terms of development, and even though I too like how I feel handy sometimes when dealing with those mild inconveniences.

Maybe I'm missing something in the way I play, but how often does anyone have a use for those ui elements when in the camera suite compared to situations they don't have a use? I'm definitely not against keeping the option to display those elements, but it doesn't feel like it should be the default settings.

And I may be wrong again, but it doesn't seem like it would require a lot of code rewrite.

There's a hotkey that removes orbit lines in regular play, don't they stay removed if you switch to camera mode?

In the message you quoted I tried to explain why it's kind of an issue (small one of course). But I may have not been precise enough, and actually I just realised that this kind of weird default settings is mostly jumping at me when I have to play ED on console, which is the case these days, as I'm currently away from home where I have my PC ; my gf owns a PS4.

Typically, on the PS4, I'm reluctant to change the bindings as it's rather dense : many combinations of the same buttons. Most combinations I know by heart, but some functions I don't use often, regularly require me to check for almost every combination menus.

On PC, I don't mind because I have enough keys and buttons to map pretty much any feature without risking any confusion later, and I don't mind having to press a button to get around a badly thought out default setting ; hell, it even feels cool pressing buttons around to activate or deactive anything, like a boss. But on a more impaired system like the PS4, it's no longer cool, this kind of details suddenly strike as some unfinished feature.

I feel every time the interface could avoid useless clicks and taps, it should. If the usual way is to have orbit lines/analysis overlay in cockpit, and pretty much almost never in camera view, it would be nice to be that way by default.
