Camera Suite.

Do you mean activating Camera Suite? Assuming you do play PS4. Hold Circle, then press right on your D-pad. This'll bring it to camera view, but you'll still be controlling your ship. Press in the right stick (R3) to go free camera mode. You should see all the controls on the left there, if you don't hit Triangle to hide/unhide HUD.
All the controls are like most games with a screenshot mode. L1 and R1 will roll the camera. L2 and R2 will elevate it. Holding Square and hitting L1 will slow down the cameras movements, R1 to speed them up.

If you are in the internal cockpit views, then sadly the range of movement is limited to pan L-R, up down and zoom.
There's full range in the external views however.

You want the free camera mode - should be on screen instructions. There are so many degrees of freedom it's complicated to control - I would look for video demos
