Campaign/Story idea. inb4 forum dads

So, i personally struggle with elite because generally when i want to do something it requires a lot of jumping. but i got to thinking about the tutorials, and the voice acting in said tutorials and got to thinking about how a campaign might work. I know this will probably fall upon deaf ears, but im here to share my idea anyway.

So to start off, its the same as when you make a new CMDR. in the tutorial "Delphine" (forget her ign, just know shes the same voice actor that did delphine in skyrim) says "I'm sure we'll be working together a lot." Well, why not? start off by taking that first delivery mission in the beginning of the game. only here's the kicker, the reward starts you on a "quest" of sorts. you would continue to do work for her, and maybe get noticed by a bigger power, possibly one of the power play leaders, possibly a faction like aegis or the pilots federation. these missions would increase in scope over time, giving rewards such as larger than normal cash pay outs, or even ship parts. these missions could be done in any size ship, and the rewards would be based on what ship the mission was completed in. This would eventually lead you to discover something big on a mission, in a signal source. something to do with thargoids, or even raxxla, if such a place exists. eventually these missions would take you through basic engineering and to a few guardian sites, with the end game being fitting a thargoid fighting ship, and entering into the thargoid war.

obviously all this would be voice acted.

just would be nice to see, and would make me want to keep playing.

ED is a sandbox MMO. You "blaze your own trail"
Sorry, but I don't think there will ever be any scripted or pre-programmed path/quest/story for the single pilot.

This way, everyone has the same chances to discover the same stuff. Especially for raxxla, if it exists...

But some missions could be much more detailed with a number of steps, some difficult some easy, leading to a discovery or payout which along with voice acting would be easy to code in. Sort of a quest but not a unique one, so everyone has a chance of doing it.
