Does the friend need to be in Team or can he just bring materials to the colonization ship?

Anyone can deliver goods to a colonization ship or construction site regardless of in-team/friend/non-friend status.

If your friends are using your fleet carrier and you don’t want other commanders emptying it; restrict access to accept friends only.
