Can animals kill each other or only wound them and leave scars?

i have readed a lot and i know about the scars after fights etc etc
but what would happen if you put a zebra with 5 lions in the lion habitat? the zebra cant just get out of that with only a few wounds and scars,so, can the lions actually kill it ?

They will kill it. Correct me if I am wrong. In the Lion enclosure there can only be 1 alpha male , so if you put 2 of them together in one enclosure they will fight and only one will survive , so I can only imagine that yes the Zebra will get killed.

You might be right but my understanding is that if two male lions fight for dominance only one can claim alpha male and the other is left without any mates. Not sure if that implies the losing male would die. I would love some clarification from a dev!

Re lions I also l wonder if they will make an exception for brothers who grew up together. Quite usual for male lions to form coalitions (at least in Kenya and the like) to take over other prides, and they never seem to fight
