Can anyone help with the fsd booster

Finally unlocked the guardian fsd booster, and I am a bit confused on how it works.
I put one on a Mamba.
Previously the jump range was 19ly
Adding the grade 2 fsd booster boosted it to 25ly
However flying around it only finds systems within 19ly when doing long journeys so it appears despite the booster being active it's not having an effect!
Is there something I'm missing?

Are you over your power limit so it turns off automatically?

Do you fly a planned route? Did you plan the route before you fitted the fsd booster? Does its power draw maybe exceeds the max amount of power your plant can deliver and has it been switched off?

There isn't really much to it. Fit the thing and it should work.

Firstly, are you sure you're looking at the right stat'?
Your ship might have a maximum jump-range of 25Ly but that'll be when the fuel-tank is empty.
The middle number (IIRC) is the "fully-fueled but no cargo" jump-range.

Secondly, have you got the galmap set to maximise jump-range?

Thirdly, are you sure there are actually systems nearer the limit of your ship's range?

If it was me, I'd use the galmap to manually find a system at the limit of the ship's jump-range then I'd turn the GFSB down to, say, Priority 3, put a bunch of other stuff on Priority 1 and the GFSB will be disabled (IIRC, you can't disable them in the usual way) and then see if I get a route-plotting error.
If I did it'd prove the GFSB was doing it's job.

Thanks all
yeah i only look at the fully fuelled stat.
the other thing is the navigation panel only shows systems 19ly away
I have plenty of spare power so that shouldnt be the issue, but I'll double check on priorities as I didnt pay too much attention to that
