Can Frontier please let us change our commander names?

I think your Cmdr Name carries every action you take in game. Changing it would allow players to hide from their actions.

You want to clear your save and restart with a clean sheet then fine, but otherwise you should not be able to change your Cmdr Name.

Hide from who, though? It's more or less a single player universe, for the most part. It's not like you can track someone by name, anyway.

You can. People with billion dollar bounties are hunted down. It would be impossible to do that if they could change names.
