Newcomer / Intro Can game be REALLY saved? If so - where is it?

I'm noob practicing with the training exercises provided. Currently managing Basic Travel. Sometimes I get pretty flummoxed in getting my head around the controls, and want to quit for a it and come back later.

There is an option to "exit and save" - but it appears this is NOT working. I've used it a number of times and can't seem to get back to where I was. It this a known issue, to be resolved... soon?

The training missions can't be saved. "Save and exit" applies only to the main game.

Don't think it does anything in training. Only the completed status of each mission

Additionally Exit and Save, doesn't actually save. It's just there so new players don't get worried about losing their progress.

Also you can't actually save the game either, it's more like the game freezes your ship only and pull it out of existance to the rest of us.. While the rest of the universe continiue and you sleep but noone but you can awaken you and get into the universe again...

That's a good point for newcomers.

If you have taken on a mission which you must complete in 2 hours that's 2 hours 'real time' not game time and it continues to tick down even when you log off.

I thought that had been changed recently. Is it still the case?
