Newcomer / Intro Can i buy the Alpha Access after 29th ?

I just wanna take a look on how it runs, and not rush. If it runs reasonably fine then i would buy it. I just wanna know that I can buy it and get the Alpha access after it has started

I would imagine so, Frontier are not going to want to miss out on the extra cash, and anyway, the Alpha will be phased so you'll see a reset every now and then, some players will get bored and they'll want people to replace them.

Just remember, as with all historic Alphas and betas, you will not take any progress to live game, and your save (if transfered to alpha) is weeks old. So the cutter you just bought is not there.

It's interesting... I wonder how much difference there'll be between optimised and non-optimised. If it runs like a dog in alpha the salt will start to flow and may put people off. Unless they like copious amounts of sodium and wish to add to the mountain.

Anyway... we'll see tomorrow!

But then why ask how long it will be available? 🤔 I think they're probably confused - lots of people in the announcement thread getting upset at the change in system specs - which AFAIK is only for the Alpha ...

The OP sounded like they just wanted to buy the alpha access to test it out, and then potentially buy Odyssey. I don't think there's any way to do that. You can preorder Odyssey (without alpha) or you can buy the "deluxe" package that includes Odyssey and has alpha access. But I don't think you can get "just" the alpha access without preordering Odyssey.
