I accidentally killed an innocent and have to wait for my notoriety to go from 1 to 0, is there a way I can get rid of the wanted tag or do I have to wait the two hours ?

I'm not fully up on this but, can't you just use another ship until your notoriety has dropped, then swap back to the wanted ship and visit an IF?
Just go to a system not controlled by the people who put the bounty on you for those 2 hours. Simples.

Go and take some pot shots at their station, do they know who you are? They're taking liberties.
