Can i get to Merope in a Vulture ?

I'm 33 jumps from Merope, in Hyades sector TPL A90. Have passed through a few non-scoopable suns the past few jumps and am now on 50% fuel.

Can't seem to get info on systems outside the bubble, need to identify star types for scoooping.

Worried.

Alone.

Hungry.

I don't have the galaxy memorized, but if you filter the map for OBAFGKM stars, and re-apply to the route, your computer should plot to scoopable stars.

*Edit* Forgot the O

There is a shipyard in HR 1185 at Ceres Tarn ground base. If you have the spare cash, you can order the needed ship to there. Landing is a challenge though... It has 4.1g ;)

Scoopable is OBAFGKM

Also run on ECON if need be. You can also filter the map to display economy, you'll find plenty of small planetary refuelling stations enroute, also quite a few new asteroid bases.

I made it out there in an un-engineered Viper Mk. III back in 2.1, before we had route plotting that took you to scoopable stars. 37 jumps, but I was too green and wide-eyed to be jaded by the trip. That was just to see the barnacles.

Once you get through the "brown dwarf zone" which covers a good 100 or so LY out in the middle of the route, you should be in the clear. Might have to go a bit off-course to avoid it. Just be mindful of those map filters and you'll make it. If not, there's always the Fuel Rats. They'll save your skin if you run out of gas.

Also on Merope 2C if my memory serves, Alcazar's Hope. 0.1g, although I could easily land the Beluga at Ceres Tarn too.

Thanks for the info. Landing on high g worlds if easy if you have done it before, but a friend of mine just ironed his Python on that 4g world today, so i thought it is better to leave a warning ;)

Thanks for all the help, greatly appreciated. I haven't played for nearly a year, i didn't know the nav computer had become so advanced!
