Can I have a dash light to tell me when my lights are on?

I like to have my lights on when entering/departing Dock. But not when I'm flying around.

Unless I'm close I cant tell in the are on or not. Can we have a dash light under the landing gear indicator would be great. :)

Been said many times, All the way through Beta to my knowledge. It seems so obvious but for some reason its ignored. I guess they have other things to think about.

Ship lights can be useful around outposts or asteroid rings when orbiting the dark side of their planet. I wish they'd be ten times stronger though, their range is too limited to be really useful.

Before in-game comms were implemented, they were useful for signaling other players too :)

OP, check your right UI panel>Functions...it tells you whether your lights are on or off....
But yeah, a dash light would be good!
What use are your lights? as said, gives peeps more chance to see each other going thru the mist/atmosphere in the docking slot.
Also useful when mooching around floating wreckage, dark platforms and 'lamping' for Space Rabbits.....

1Mw Cibie or KC Daylighters eh?

Sounds rather funny OP. You want a light to tell you when you have your lights on.

Reminds me of HHGTTG - with the black ship that had black lights telling you when you had pressed the black button :D

My MSI Afterburner OSD toggle is bound to the same button as my lights. If the OSD is visible I know my lights are on.

10x times stronger for sure. Fighting on the dark side of a planet ring is asking for trouble with only those tiny little lamps... And yes I named a cute big asteroid "Faceplant" for obvious reasons...boost, roll, bank... oh everything is black with no star..s.... swooosh...eject eject eject :D

I rebound the lights toggle to Caps Lock, so I have a LED glowing in real life to show me the lights are on.

Unfortunately the lights turn off automatically entering/leaving super-cruise, so the keyboard LED can become out of synch with the game status. :(

And yet another thread on this topic... fully agree, please give us an indicator.

They are damn handy when docking. Turn then on before entering a station and it makes you easier to see when coming in.

It's fun to go face to face with a staionary player and shine the lights into the cockpit.
Also a bit spooky when it's done to you!

Ha ha! I did that in LazerQuest in Blackpool....only it was a black, felt covered wall!...
