Can I play Planet Coaster using an eGPU?

I've learned about eGPUs and it's the only thing I need to run Planet Coaster. All my other hardware is fine. I'm guessing that if I use the external graphics card instead of my internal, the game will run smooth?

Short answer is yes. But then the question arises: Why? EGPUs are expensive and quite limited as they don't have as great connection to the computer as an internal GPU does. They will be better than onboard graphics, generally. But it seems a limited and hugely expensive solution.

It's possible but not recommended unless you only really want to own one computer. After you buy the eGPU and the GPU to go inside, you're already probably near the price of a cheap gaming computer which could run this game easily also. Better for thermals to just build a small PC.
