Can I run Elite Dangerous ?

Hello guys,

Anybody can help me to recognize if I can run ED? Becose my system is below than is required minimum, but I play only at 1280x1024 so maybe thaths the reason why I can play "Lord of the rings: Shadow of Mordor" on medium settings without any problem which has same hardware requiremnts as Elite Dangerous.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3,00 Ghz
Saphhire Radeon 7700HD
4 GB RAM DDR2

Please if you have any experiance with this give me know.

Well someone's just replied to their own thread posted months ago about whether it could run on a C2D, & it can apparently :).
Not sure about your grx card though, his is a HD 5850 which is much faster, see benchmarks here

Just because you can play LoR doesn't mean it will be ok for ED, but it might be, looking at Anandtechs benchmark for your card (ish) vs the min spec of a HD 4870 it seems they are close in performance, in some games at least.

That site won't help him as he already knows his rig is below spec ;).

Anyhow, he might will be ok except when their are a number of players nearby near a station, I notice my FPS drops a lot then, especially when docking.
