Can I run premium beta on my comp?

Could somebody please let me know if my Dell Studio laptop with Intel I3 Core be able to run the premium beta version?

Thanks

Hello, and welcome - you'd need to provide more comprehensive specs, but I fear it may struggle.

If you can provide further information that will help your cause... Especially important is the Graphics 'card' you have in your Dell... Get back to us with more info and we'll be able to, and happy to, help.

I run it on my laptop, it's an i7, 525M graphics card, 8 gig ram.

I lose some framerate at bits near the station but it's not a problem for me to be honest. Perfectly playable I think.

I don't think ED is that particularly hardware needy. I built my PC for flight sims three years ago and this game ran flat out without a twitch on it. I updated my GPU from a GTX570 to a 770 as a mid-term update but if I was only playing ED I wouldn't have needed to. I would say with a quad core cpu, a half decent graphics card, and a couple of gigs of ram it is happy enough.

If you want to ramp up the settings the impression I get is that the game needs more GPU ram than anything else which is pretty common in flight sims too, it's all those textures loading up I think.

I thought my i5 laptop (less than a year old) would run ED ok but alas no. I've ordered a new gaming PC i7, GTX 770 4GB, 16GB Ram and 120GB SSD - should be more than adequate. It's just the waiting for it now...
