Can I Start over?

Hi Guys,

New to the game but have followed PC players on Twitch for quite a while. When I heard it was releasing on XB1 i had to bite!

I love love love the game but the learning curve has been quite a curve for me. Now I want to start from scratch since i really lost my all my credits to either flying in the sun, being attacked by pirates, and investing in commodities that i end up losing either by death or attacks.

Is it possible to reset all the data to start from scratch (read: Get the starting credits and base ship back)? I have cleared the saves on the game, and profile save cache, did a hard reset on the xb1 and yet when i start it up it takes me right back to my last save.

Any ideas what to do guys?

PS I really like the camaraderie of the ED community. It reminds me of the Dad of Destiny community a lot.

Hi, J and welcome to the game and forums.

You should be able to reset your commander - if it's not working then you should report it in the XBox One bug reporting forum.

That should do it...but if not. Go back to dashboard then use the menu button on dashboard to quit the game fully. Do a hard reset by holding power button for a few secs. Restart console and start the game up....see if that helps.

Hi Guys! Thanks for the welcome!

I realized that at the moment the server is down and i wonder if that is the reason. I did the "clear saved game" under options and selected my new ship but then it would load and i was getting sent back to my previous save. Now i keep getting sent back to the home screen with long load times on the Intro screen.

I will make sure to report it in the proper section of the Forum!
