Can I Surrender to the Police?

So while chasing a wanted ship a police ship rolls in to steal my kill. Accidentally I must of hit it cus after the pirate died it turned on me.

Is there a way to just surrender and say I'll pay the fine?

Police are not peacemakers nor community service supervisors. If you are wanted in this game - either escape and pay your fine - where everything is forgiven, or be killed as a unwanted hazard to society :)

run... super cruise away and go pay the fine... just dont make the mistake of fighting your way out , it will just end up costing you more.... OR you could just say F the police and kill them all, move to Anarchy system and live like a king.

try surrendering too them and the police will shoot you down like a dog, if your canopy breaches you'll be the one saying 'I can't breath'

It wouldn't be a bad idea to be able to get "pulled over" and pay the fine right there to a security vessel, save us from being chased around the galaxy as a "wanted" for 200 credit fines.

Indeed. Maybe a feature to implement down the road. If the fine is small enough, be pulled over, and fine is taken when close to the cop. Im in favour of getting a small window with YES/NO option though, both for something like this and for smuggler trade ships in USS'es and for on the fly missions you get in USS'es. Right now you get too close and BAM you got a counter mission, or BAM you sold your stolen cargo even if you didnt want to, just cause you got too close.

But yeah, it would be a sweet feature for sure.

You guys want to surrender and pay fines for hitting a police vessel by lasers where loitering is a crime punishable by death? :D

There is no game mechanic for that. You have escape and then pay off the bounty/fine at a station.
