Can I turn off the station traffic controller voice?

To fix this problem. Lift of the pad, rotate 180°, fly backwards through the station and out of the letterbox.

You can adjust the volume and mute most of the announcements in the game by going to the Audio section of the Options menu. I don't know of that particular one is there but that is where you would need to look in order to find out.

The ATC is great but when the hell did it start doing the 'welcome' thing as you left. I've had a bit of a break and when I logged back in that was the first thing that jarred me, it didn't used to do it before.

I too had a break recently. I do like the idea of voiced ATC, but only when it works properly. Right now I prefer the old days of no voice acting. :/

It is since the last update. Annoying yes, but strangely comforting.

What also drives me nuts--to the point where I don't even bother to launch it anymore--is my (female) SLF pilot's hyperventilating every time her fighter gets attacked. She just can't shut up for a second...for a UAV, the voice acting is completely overdone. What I suspect had happened is that originally NPC SLF fighter roles were designed to be pilot-driven crafts, but for some reason the lore was changed to "telepresence" instead. Of course, they didn't bother to re-record the relevant tracks.

In my case, the "Landing Gear Not Deployed" warning comes about 3-5 seconds after landing, unchanged between the 2.3-2.3.10 releases.
