Can I uninstall just Odyssey?

I purchased and installed Odyssey, but being someone who plays Elite Dangerous in VR, I never disembark from my ship/srv because it is such a disconnect from the rest of the game.
The Projected Flat-Screen solution is horrible, in my opinion.
I've had the expansion for too long to attempt a refund, which is fine, but I want to be able to have the game boot straight into Horizons, which is not an option when launching from the Oculus Rift library.

Does anyone have a way to uninstall Odyssey Only? Or a work around to have the game launch into Horizons instead?
Much Appreciated.

When the launcher starts, don't select the top one, select the game directly under the top one. The one below that might also work because if I understand it correctly, purchasing Horizon is no longer an option, its been added to the the vanilla.

on the launcher you should have the options for ED:O ED:H and ED, if you cant see ED:H you may just need to scroll the list down - select odyssey press down arrow on keyboard

not sure there is a way to uninstall odyssey - you can delete the odyssey folder from C:\Games\EliteDangerous\Products
however if you own or play the game via steam or epic games then steam\epic will redownload

even if you delete odyssey or can uninstall it odyssey will still appear on your launcher as its a product you own

I appreciate the people telling me to just select the other options, however...
When launching from the Oculus Library, it defaults to launching Odyssey without giving me the option to switch between.
In order to select Horizons, I have to launch from SteamVR. This isn't optimal as I will still need to have my Oculus Software running in order to be able to use my headset at all. So now I'm taking twice the amount of CPU just to use my headset. I'm on an older PC and can't afford to upgrade currently, so every process and program I can shave off while I'm in game is something I strive for.

Again, thanks for the replies, but I need a different solution.

As you can see from the early responses, few people use the oculus launcher. I had an oculus before upgrading to the a Reverb G2. There may be a way to hack the Oculus store into behaving but each time such hacks come out, Facebook goes out of their way to punish you. So any hack you might find will not doubt have a life span. The best example of this is just look at how many posts there are on the WEB

I don't know how to sugar coat this so let me be blunt. If you're using the Oculus launcher instead of Steam VR, you're simply just doing it wrong. The SteamVR launcher is the least-worst option out there. :( In fact, one of the reasons I sold my Oculus Rift was precisely because it was obvious that users were eventually going to get bullied into the "Facebook way" of doing things. I didn't like the Borg and I certainly don't want any corporation telling me how to use my stuff let alone that sniveling rich-kid Harvard drop-out Mark Zuckerberg. 🤮

Search out the scores of YouTube videos which go over how to launch from the SteamVR Console and bypass the Oculus Home, It's far more stable for starters and doesn't impose the wacky default settings that users may not want such as launching into Odyssey by default. Also, personally the reason I stick with the SteamVR launcher is precisely that it is least intrusive launcher that takes up minimal resources and allow me to launch directly into my game if I desire. And if you can still find it, there was a method using Oculus tray that someone had a hack which bypassed the store altogether by not loading it in the first place, thus giving you back almost 1GB of memory and countless of CPU cycles. I couldn't find it right away but that's what Google is for. ;)

This is an excellent suggestion and I thank you, sadly as of March 2019 none of the results that come up on this search work anymore and my Google-Fu has failed to present a newer solution. But I'll keep at it. Thanks again!

on the ED launcher shortcut you can add -EDO to the end of the target line on the short cut (right click shortcut > properties) ie
C:\Games\steamapps\common\EliteDangerous\EDLaunch.exe -EDH
if theres quote marks the -EDO needs to be to the right if the last quote

in Steam you need to set this by right clicking ED > Proerties > general - Launch options. type -EDH

this will hide any version of ED which is older than ED:H but Odyssey will still appear at the top of the list

not sure this will work with any other launcher and it might not be exactly what your looking for but its the closest youll get to setting EDH as default on the launcher
