I was having fun in a combat zone when I got taken out by a hail of crossfire, not sure what it did, but I got a message along the lines of "Power limit exceeded", which as I don't have a set up that can exceed the power my power plant generates, I assumed meant that I'd taken some damage to a module, and that was the result. It left me dead for a few seconds, and by the time I got thrusters back and high-tailed it out of there, I was down to 35% hull and my canopy had been blown.
No problem, I thought, I'd managed to survive a similar incident an hour earlier when I was taken down to 2% hull and no canopy.
However, whereas with the first incident, my C3 (I think) life support had given me the proscribed ten minutes air supply, the second time, I was only given 5 minutes air, which annoyingly got me to 3km of an outpost!
So, is this designed behaviour, or is this a bug? I'd have understood if my life support had failed completely and gave me no time to get back, but to give me half of what it was rated to seems strange.
