Can Multicrew be Used to Combat Log

Pretty much as the title suggests. If I'm losing in a combat situation, can I join someone's crew and save my ship? Will there be a 15 second timer if I'm in combat kind of like the quit menu?

Apologies if this has already been asked/answered.

Thanks all.

So here you are flying along when suddenly you're being interdicted.
You need no longer reach for the cable, but instead, request to join a crew, and then fight the interdiction.
But you don't fight to win the interdiction, you fight to prolong the interdiction - long enough for that 15 second wait cycle to complete and poof...

New "Combat Logging WAH!" post is born.

Except they didn't combat log. We'll need a new name for it - Crewbat Logging? Combat Crewing?
I think I like Crewbat Logging.
And then I'll go ahead here and prevent the birth of several more threads "Mutlicrew Has Killed PvP Piracy", "Crewing has Broken My Immersion", "Multi-Crew? More like Multi-Screw" and "Multi-crew has broken my I-Win button".

The problem with combat logging is that it bypasses the 15 second drop out from exiting cleanly. By joining a crew, you probably have to retain that 15 second drop since you're not exiting the game via the task manager, which is what combat logging is.

But it's an excellent question, though. I hadn't thought about that myself.

Easy Fix: Make it so that you are unable to join a crew if your ship was fired upon in the last 30 seconds.
