Can no longer apply suit cosmetic that is not of the same suit type

For example, I can't apply a Maverick skin on a Dominator build.

This could be done before the patch AND it would seem from the Steam forums some users have this issue while others don't.

Has this been reported anywhere? Anyone else having this issue?

Same but I've spent money on suits that prior to this I could use so to be totally honest I'm not happy.

a) that topic is very short and is 90% "I don't think you should be able to look like how you want to look even though you've spent money on ARC or want to use your pre order bonus" and 10% actual conversation about the issue and b) from the Steam topic it seems some people have this issue and others don't which makes it stranger

You can't mix suit cosmetics anymore. Each suit has specific cosmetics that only allow some lame color change. Why would you make it more lame and force people to pay for a simple photoshop color changes? It seems like everything frontier deems an improvement is designed to make this game more...

While the suit itself is restricted to the type, the bits and bobs you can attach as decoration aren't. My scavenger maverick is a mishmash of all three suit type pieces. Only thing I'm missing is my Pioneer kit.

Just went in to check this since i hadn't played with my suits since thursday's patch.

So, i CAN equip suit parts from different suit models. Like a Dominator, but using all maverick parts. It may be because i already have my suits all mixed and matched.

However, any change causes a Black Adder disconnection, the change is applied when i relog/reload though.

This is new behaviour since update 4.

It's a problem with cosmetics, frankly if it's not fixed within the hour things must be really bad. Yikes.

skins seem to disappear from the selection, eg Pioneer skin has disappeared for Dominator and Artemis suits

Same. The Pioneer skin should be applicable to all three suit types, and I can't apply it to any of them.

If this is a bug it's weird because not everyone seems to get it and if this is intended than I'm pretty annoyed that you let me spend ARC on suits that I can no longer apply as I intended.

Yes, it's very disappointing. I really dislike the look of the Artemis suit underskin.

This maybe a small thing but they took my money and then pulled the rug from under me, that gets under my skin frankly.

I love the way you keep on adding new suits but I have no idea if I can use them if I pay for them.

More suits added, bug still remains. No notification that I can see that this is intended or not, some users still effected, others not.
