Can no longer see who scanned you in Contacts - "I see nothing!"

So NPC "Ace Zillon" scans me and says "I see all!". Now, in 1.2 I could go to the Contacts tab and see "Ace Zillon" in the list and select him to give him some laser treatment. But in 1.3 all I see is "Cobra Mk III, Cobra Mk III, Cobra Mk III, Viper, Eagle...." etc. Not helpful.

I remember seeing this during the beta and was a bit confused. Maybe it was done purposely to make sure those trigger happy kids don't fire before scanning too quickly?

Names you see in Contacts should be ships you have scanned, not ones that have scanned you. Sounds like a smart update.

I thought it made sense the way it was before - someone sends a direct message to you, surely there's information in the packets that at least identify which person addressed you.

It only told you who they were, not the legal status...

No, it used to work by showing the name of any npc who uses comms. And that made sense. It seems bugged now.
