Can not purchase items unless you are logged into game

That 'Game Extras' link under Elite Dangerous on the main store page should now take you to dlc.elitedangerous.com, which is the new correct address. Maybe your browser had cached the old version, or there was a bug on the site (wouldn't be the first time)
Nope, the link is set wrong. If you go to https://www.frontierstore.net/usd/, Game Extras, Elite Dangerous it takes you to the old, not existing shop. If you click on the picture instead it will take you to the new store.

Anyway, here is the correct link:

Ah, I see what you mean. Interestingly it only happens when the currency is set to USD or RUB.

Is the [ + xxx bonus ] shown with the different purchase packs already included in the price? Example: For $6.99 (USD) 8,400 ARX [+420 Bonus]. Does this mean you get a total of 8,400 or 8,820 ARX points?

If the total amount of ARX points includes the bonus, then there is no real additional savings between the $18.99 and $37.99 package. Rounded to 6 places past decimal. (18.99/25,500 = 0.000745) each, (37.99/51,000 = 0.000745) each.

It is the base number + the bonus amount, So $6.99 will nett you 8,820 Arx etc...

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

Well it is a hell of a lot more difficult / involved, unless you are simply buying a single Featured item or a single item for your current ship. Took over 58 ARX transactions to get various Stygian paint jobs for only 21 different ships. ( I might have inflated the numbers ever-so-slightly. I bought 2-3 different colors for almost every ship and it can only be done a single item at a time.) Where as pre- ARX that could have been done in a single transaction.

I was going to make additional purchases for two of my other accounts, but frustration and the time required to make those transactions - forget it. It would have taken the better part of an hour to make the additional purchases.

And before anyone says anything about Frontier already having my money for ARX purchased. This is not the case. I purchased (with bonus), only enough ARX to get what I wanted at the time. Not going to bank ARX for future use.

Honestly, the current version of the store page is hot garbage. It requires a login every other click, the Black Friday paints are only shown on the DLC front page, and only a few are listed there so you can’t buy most of them out of game anyway.

Honestly FDev, please let the senior programmers do the webpage, not the interns, please.

Yeah, the old site was much more usable. It's crazy making it hard for people to see the stuff you're trying to sell.
Almost like they don’t want our money...

Trying to buy the maximum amount of purchasable ARX constantly resulted in an error message.

I just don’t understand how a company that makes something as complex as ED can fail to code a webpage properly.

I have looked at the store, a couple of times and each time, my reaction is; Meh. I just can't be bothered, with all the mucking about.
Sad really, I have not brought anything from the store, for about a year now and I know. If I could do things the old way. Look, see what I like, add to my basket and pay via Paypal, for the lot, after an hour or so of browsing, I would have spent, £20 to £40, last year, easily. Not a lot, in the grand scheme of things, but it all adds up.

Basically. F.D. have made it harder, for us all, to buy things, that we don't really need. By anyone's yard-stick, that has got to be a bad move.

I think it’s wanted by Frontier, as for ARX.

A loss of freedom by imposing directives.

Obligation to play the game, and pay with ARX.

I also miss the way you could look at past orders and see what exactly you bought. Now it simply shows amount spent on ARX.

Yes, if you break it down, the per item purchase price is actually a little cheaper compared to the past, for paint at least. However, the cheaper price is not worth it. Due to the tedious and painstaking slow process, Frontier missed out and lost approximately $120 in sales from me, as I was prepared to spend $59.99 each on two other accounts, possibly even more. I would much rather pay the slightly higher price for the better method. After all this is no exception, you get what you pay for as far as I am concerned.
