Can not read the "Local" Text while in VR

Or if I play the game without VR for that matter... I just cant stand it anymore!

Back before the update that brought the system wide text options, I was able to have a conversation with friends but now a day the test rarely stays up long enough to read and I have yet to be able to scroll up and read them.

I have never seen the new system work any better than the old system, please take away this feature in the "New Area" I am tired of bending my neck just right to bring up the chat menu only to have it vanish before I can finish what I was writing... and start all over.

I can already hear the White Knights saying map the chat button bla bla bla... that doesn't even work properly!

Trying to type with the headset is hard enough, would it really be that difficult to make the chat window "hit box" fill most of the screen when you hit the chat button?

you can use VoiceAttack to open the comms panel.

I Play the game in VR all the time and Use a team speak server to do my chatting, But I never have a problem with chat in game, I will admit I find it a bit of a bother to take the head set off to type but you can always setup voice attack with a voice pack to do the typing for you on certain phrases.

Being the whitest of knights, I can only say that I don't have any problems whatsoever reading chat in my VR headset. Typing text, on the other hand...

So you are saying that when you look at the coms a little too late because you were looking at something else while the message was received you can scroll up and catch what you missed?
You and I are both familiar with the PS4 system and you really don't see any difference?

I still use my DS4, which lets me easily open the comms panel from my controller and scroll up if I need to. I just did it in game before coming here, since my squadron is extra chatty this afternoon.

ok I give, apparently I need to re-map some buttons and I am the only one who gets the "Hit enter to access coms" after I just hit enter to do just that (as I have coms mapped to enter) but do not have that problem when playing without the VR. Thank you gentlemen, starting a ticket.

I still say the text should be bigger and stay on screen longer though.

If anyone reads this having the same problem, it turns out I was taking the headset off a little too quickly after hitting the open coms button. Hitting escape and re-attempting will fix the problem.
