Thanks for the advice!I couldn't get rid of my T7 fast enough but actually warmed up to flying a T9. Surprisingly, I found it easy to dock. But it truly drives like a big truck. It's now been sold for a Anaconda trader but I've kept my Python. For trading, I think D or C grade thrusters are fine on a Python. I would suggest going with an A grade power plant - the smallest that will cover you power requirements. I think you'll find that you'll have less heat issues.
I am swapping for an A4 power plant right now
Interesting that you couldn't wait to get rid of the T7 also, but found the T9 more pleasant.
I had the T7 upgraded, to where everything worked flawlessly, no overheating etc, but its like the style of the cheapest truck they'll sell in the real world, with no damping material, just the bare metal everywhere and an unpleasant sound to go with it.
When I got the Python, I suddenly had that new car smell in my nose, even though there was obviously none... Its just smooth. Except the little boxes that are standing on the Python's dashboard are and, depending on lighting, totally obscure the view of your HUD - instead you see a very bright and crudely modeled box behind your ship display. I have no idea how that got signed off on... I hope they will remove / change that. The dashboard itself has a good design and needs no extra clutter.
I think the Python is finished now, thanks to the help here!
Time to grind some cash for a new ASP
