can someone confirm coordinates for thargoids crash site ?

Im trying to unlock Palin using this :

Head back down to the pleiades sector with an SRV on hand, and go to the system HIP 17403. at HIP 17403, land at planet HIP 17403 A 4 A at the coordinates -34.98, -141.30.

I am on the planet a 4 a. In that system.
I am at coordinates -34.98 -141.30 and.. there is no Thargoid crashed ship at all here :

-34.9789 at 0.0011 next to it
-141.30 at exact coordinates.

There is absolutely NO thargoid crash here...

So I guess this guide is wrong or not longer up to date.

So... where can I find the required Sensors Fragments to unlock Palin ??

I scanned the planet using the FSS.

You mean I have to scan it using the probes to have that crash area appear ?
Sometimes they show up without a planet scan in the Navigation panel, if not then yes DSS it.
Been a while since i was there so unable to remember.

To be fair and its not a criticism, if your going after any of this surface lore stuff its always best to take a DSS just in case.

The second set of coordinates is the good one : the ship is there ! The guide was giving the wrong ones :(

I have a DSS in the ship yes. But did not knew I had to scan the planet.

If I scan the planet with the DSS, you are telling me taht crash site will appear as a small circle from orbit ?

A lot of things in the game change over time, for example stuff on planets moved after Odyssey arrived, so it is always a good idea to check how recently any guide was published/edited as older ones could now be wrong.

So the crashed ship has been moved to a new set of coordinates. By whom ? The thargoids or humans came to the site, and moved all of it to reproduce the crash exactly somewhere else ?

Because crashed stuff usually doesnt move by itself.

When they changed the planetary surface procgen code in Odyssey it meant a total change of all planet terrain and a consequent need to programmatically reposition all surface poi's.
