Can someone explain to me how I can land on a planet and drive around in a rover?

How do I set speed to 0% on the SVR? (That's the reason I got it lodged under the ship, I forgot that I hadn't setup any key to set speed to 0%, but that option seems to be missing from the controls options?)

Dismiss the ship, should free your SRV.

Sorry, can't help on on the keybind to 0%.

Nah, seems there are no 0% option at all. But I finally figured out how to set it up almost like how a normal car works, really wish this was setup per default; don't hope all players have to go through this setup the first time they play Horizons?

I don't know. I know I did in the beta, but the binds carried into the release.

Ok, since you set your throttle to increment, your mousewheel only works as a 10% up/down change, that's it. Turn that off and your mousewheel should work better as a throttle, it'll be forward by however much you move the wheel, not 10% increments. That's something that throws people, if you are setting throttle to an axis, like my throttle or your mousewheel, don't set it to increments, that's for single input throttle control(a button for forward/reverse) and negates the point of an axis for throttle.

And yes, everyone has to set up the controls for the buggy, FD didn't preset them because they aren't the same as the ship and many people don't like using their HOTAS to drive the buggy for some reason(love it myself). Once you mess around with them a little bit, you should be able to figure out their functions and decide the best way to set them up for your own tastes. Many people find KB/Mouse most effective for the buggy, I don't, so I'm glad I don't have to wipe out presets to put in what I wanted, like the damn dump cargo button...yeah...found THAT one by mistake with a load of palladium JUST once. Quickly reset that to NO KEY at all.

It's not elegant..... but the way I do it now if I have to suddenly stop is to toggle back OFF drive assist and then hit the handbrake button. The effect will be zero throttle/stopping. I haven't found a mapping for 0% throttle for the SRV.
