Can someone give me the keybindings, I should set for the SRV controls?

The default setup, is complete e, whoever designed the default controls should be ashamed.

Also when I tried fixing it, for some reason I couldn't stop the SRV, I throttle down, but once I took my finger off the button, it would speed up again. Is there any reason I can't use the mouse to steer sigh, why doesn't it just use the same controls as the ship(just with a few extra features).

It would be a good idea if you posted information about which controller combination you use. Then someone with a similar setup can advise.

For example, I use a HOTAS, and did not get on with using side to side stick movement for the SRV, so I changed steering to the twist asxis of the joystick.
For throttle, I use the full range of my HOTAS throttle for forward movement, and have a button set for reverse, but which is only active whilst pressed (I ended up using this for ship main thrusters as well).
I use my computer's mouse to aim the SRV weapon - the precision is important for some of the things that you have to do on surface missions).

The truth is, yes some of the default keybinds are very poor, but as everyone has their own preferences. Expect to refine your control setup over a long period.....

No, they seem to save just fine when I'm allowed to set such. What happens on some of them, when I click the boxes to set a key, sometimes it wont register any key inputs, infact I have to then press escape to close that box(luckily that works to get out of it, otherwise I would have to alt+tab, and close the whole game down).

However I think the error on that part was on me, now that I think of it, the tool tips might have been refering to analog control lol, appose to the movement type woops.

The other issue still stands though, guess I'll have to fiddle around with it more(although have no idea why the throttle down binding, wasn't perm throttling it down, until I hit the throttle up button, as soon as I took my finger off the throttle down button, it would throttle up by its self).

there are throttle modes like full range and continuous I suggest you try the different modes for cause and effect whilst driving
like you say just remember an axis is for a mouse ball or wheel or an analogue variable input not a key or button press
now I do get keyboard and mouse only fanatics I really do but honestly this game should be an exception to that rule
a simple two analogue stick controller or go all out on a hotas I could not suggest any less for this game

Oh ok thanks.

Yea, I knew it wasn't referring to a button press its self, I thought it was referring to maneuvering thrusters(mainly for use if you leave the ground).

If you have an analogue axis bound to throttle, then the individual 'set throttle to particular values' key binds would fight with the analogue bind... Could it be something like that?

No as I'm not using a stick, so can even set those binds, thanks anyway though.

I think the issue maybe linked to the option that STRONTIUM DOG mentioned.

thing to remember is analogue axis inputs normally expect's a self zeroing input ie like a car accelerator pedal once you take your foot off it returns to a zeroed state or any joypad sticks or hotas stick will also self centre(zero), a mouseball or wheel will not do this and so will need to be constantly countered
and is only reason I recommend an alternative control method as previously suggested

Yea that seemed to fix it, thanks.
