Newcomer / Intro can someone tell me what the anaconda is?

It looks like a corvette class but could be a battleship. Also what would the viper be? I'm asking because I like having a battleship type craft that even though its slow can still dish more damage out than it will take.

Hi,

The Anaconda would be something like a frigate, heavily armed war ship, but not sized as a destroyer.
Also, it costs a lot, so you won't be able to "have it" for another year or two of heavy grinding.

Good luck!

I miss my Anaconda!! Remember the good ol' days when they were affordable and just about everyone had one... good times :D

maybe it takes 2 years for you, but for some others it just took 4 days.

Anaconda is classed as a light cruiser or frigate in elite and is considered a multipurpose ship,
and the viper is classed as a heavy fighter, combat role

The Viper is a heavy fighter and fastest ship there is, with for hardpoints it packs a punch and has the speed to get you out of trouble if need be :)

The anaconda can be considered like the cobra's BIG cousin, on steroids. It's basically a light warship reconfigured for a multirole capability. It's got 2 small hardpoints, 2 mediums and 3 large, plus one "huge" - the biggest hardpoint in the game and currently the only place one can mount the biggest playable gun in the game, the "huge" plasma cannon. It can carry a couple hundred tons of cargo and if you've ever been in front of an annoyed one then I'm sure it wasn't pretty.

They do have their weaknesses - they are fairly slow because of their size, so more agile ships can find chinks in their defenses and take them down. Also docking them is a bit of a trip :)

Ah I see, one last question, I usually make around 50k to 100k a hour just from interdicting bounties, is there a way I can make more money being a bounty hunter?

I usually go to extraction sites and hunt down wanted vessels.
That way you can make ~100.000 in about 15min.

But bear in mind there's a weird bug they're working on, sometimes even if you attack wanted vessels, police force will turn against you.
To remedy that, just escape to supercruise, then come back again. And don't attack police back under any circumstances.

Okay, please stop the fighting and sniping, and get back on topic.

What could possibly controversial about a question asking how a couple of ships could be classified?
