I recently bought Elite for my ps4, bought a new ship through the frontier store, and now I can`t find it. How do I access my new ship, I can`t seem to find it any where ? I`m a complete noob at Elite and I`m sure I`m missing somthing any help would be appreciated.

Hey there! Welcome to the wonderful world of Elite Dangerous!
What exactly was it you brought on the store? As it is, you cannot to buy Ships from the frontier store, however you can buy cosmetics. To view your cosmetics you see them in-game when you visit the Livery (outfitting) I hope this helps!

You didn't buy a ship, you bought an external modification for a ship. Contact support for a refund, or purchase the ship for in game credits and use your purchased ship kit for cosmetic modifications.
Unlike Star citizen, ships can only be bought with credits obtained though playing the game.

I thought cosmetic stuff only applied to PC and Mac versions - not PS4??
I might be wrong - I usually am.
The restriction is that it must be purchased through the PS4. You cant purchase through the web on a PC. Probably because Sony take a cut.... Hmmm, he said he bought it through the frontier store. Either way, he definitely didn't buy a ship.

Welcome to the often upside down galaxy of Elite Dangerous. Here you will learn to speak Elitespeak. Before long you will be talking about G5 mods, DD5s, FSDs and where you can obtain MEF and CIF from...
While you aquire your new found skills in Elitespeak, it might be worth giving the FDev store a miss for the time being. These are only cosmetic add-ons that can be applied to your Sidewinder ship or to purchased ships once you have earned sufficient credits in game to purchase a new ship in a station shipyard.
As there are now over 30 ships in the elite Dangerous universe, you might want to progress in the game for a few months beyond the starter ships and you settle down to flying a ship you like, before spending real cash in the store on cosmetics for it.
Unfortunately, I can't offer you any in-game help because I'm a PC player but feel free to pm me if you would like some one to one guidance.

What a sad commentary on what EA/Actiblizzard has done to the gaming industry when players innately expect to have to pay for core in-game content, poor OP.

As others have stated, you don't "buy ships" - ED is not a "pay to win" game. What you can buy is paint jobs and other cosmetic, non-game-performance-affecting add-ons, which you can then apply to ships that you already own in-game. If you don't yet own one of those ships, then you have to buy that ship with in-game credits, same as everyone else.
Example: I recently bought a Chrome Type 10 paint job during the recent Christmas sale. I didn't own a Type 10 at the time, and couldn't buy one anyway because I was out in deep space exploring, 10,000 LYs from the nearest shipyard. But when I finally did make it back to the Bubble a month ago, I went and bought myself a Type 10, and then applied the chrome paint job to it.
