Can´t leave Supercruise - Game not playable

Hey guys,
I am new to the game, bought it a few days ago, been playing fine for 2 days now.
Now i accepted a mission for trade, where i need to buy beryllium, jumped to the system where i can buy it, entered supercruise to the Hub it is sold, and when i get there game freezes with a Purple Python Error and i get disconnected. Happens everytime now and even after reboot and with other locations. I am not in a Wing currently.
This is kinda upsetting and not what i had in mind when buying this game.
Literally can´t play the game at all anymore, totally stuck in that system.
Any help possible?

Cheers, Tinwhistle

Validate game files. Contact support. Could be your save corrupted.
That would be really stupid tho...

Validating game files right now via Steam, i have posted a ticket before writing to the forums, cause it seemed most of these tickets remained unanswered.

For the record, i can login and am in the system, can choose a target, can start my engines, but cant leave supercruise anymore. Dont know how that is a corrupted Savegame tho :/

Anyways, thanks alrdy for your help!

I just tried validating my game files, and after you mentioned a maybe corrupted gamefile, i entered the game, jumped to another system (which worked), set a route to the nearest carrier, entered super cruise and guess what, game still crashed :D

If you're validating via the Steam client, it might not help. The Frontier launcher is the only thing that should be used to validate the install. It's generally much slower for a reason: it does a better job.

I only own ED on Steam because it was on sale, and I wanted to switch from console to PC. I played it for a week before buying ED directly from Frontier. There were too many issues for me via Steam.

Okay i will try validating via the Frontier Launcher right now, thx for the hint.

Update, while creating the netlog files, i can´t even ENTER Supercruise anymore, it will freeze there and get me y purple python, this keeps getting worse :D

have you tried the unstick option found in the main menu(help info)purple python sounds like a connection problem so maybe go over network settings router reset etc

I didnt even know this existed, as i said, new player. The learning curve in this game is pretty steep, kinda like that. But not if that includes Errors and complete crashes within first 3 Gamedays for a pretty non-Alpha Game...

Anyways im stuck in "Preparing Update" for five minutes now since i pressed Validate files in the launcher T_T. No sign of any progress whatsoever

yea that happens but you can see if its working via disk activity (write speed)via cntrl alt del taskmanager (its super slow)

Sorry for not mentioning, i alrdy made a proper ticket in the meantime and also got my email confirmation

Since it isn't clear from what I have read ...

Did you start the Odyssey version? If so, try starting the Elite Dangerous Horizons option and see if that makes any difference.

This won't help your issue but. if you like, you can launch Legacy Horizons just for the fun of being able to play a space game - it is totally separate and different in many respects from the "Live" (i.e. the non-Legacy options).

Good luck anyway.

Frontier's support has always been excellent for me, within the limits Frontier places on them. Bookmark that link regardless. The support system is a confusing maze. That link will bypass the mess.
