This is getting too confusing. Can you guys let us know what you are angry about?

A) CQC is a terrible addition and should never be part of ED.
B) CQC is a fantastic addition and we should play it before XB1 players.
C) Both.
d) I don't know, I have been angry for so long I keep forgetting the cause.

All joking aside, how can FD possibly 'listen to the beta-backers' when the feedback is so completely schizophrenic? When I saw the outrage when people assumed there would be an arena mode it never occured to me there'd be an equal outrage when you couldn't be the first to play it. Sure, in any group people have different opinions but when so many beta-backers say arena mode is for consoles, doesn't it make sense they release it to consoles first? Isn't that, ironically, an example of them listening to you?

not speaking for anyone but myself, I have no problem with this CQC feature, I have no problem with the game being on XBox ...
all I am saying in other threads is, I'd like the same content on all platforms at the same time ... not one platform before another, whether that's PC or XBox.

I can only guess but maybe people are worried that the game will get too much attention focused on the competetive and PVP/ARENA aspects, leaving the rest of the game aside.
For what its worth, I dont think Arena will hurt the rest of ED in any way but time will tell.

IMO I would not partake in an Elite Combat Arena, seems out of place. For once I agree with people saying "it is not part of the Elite universe". If it is added, great, I wont partake, just like I do not in PP. I would rather see fixes in game before another massive update release.

Ofcourse, and ultimately if it was as easy as pressing a button we'd all want that. But in reality massive companies like Sony and Microsoft get to call the shots more often than we'd want. If rockstar, EA and Ubisoft can't get around such demands for exclusivity, is it really fair to demand FD to somehow resist? It's either not release on XB1 or release partly on their terms. And when you weigh it all up the pros (more money for development plus loads of people being able to finally play ED) just seem a lot better than the cons (us pc players having to wait a bit for something we'll get for free). IMHO ofcourse.

Soooo - you want them to fully develop, beta test, fix, integrate and release ALL future content on ALL platforms simultaneously?

Just how many releases do you expect per year?

It's starting to be a bit D :p.

In all honestly and seriousness though: both the Space Risk and Space Unreal Tourny content are all very nice and I am pleased some people like this type of thing BUT, and this is the main gripe for me, it is not really Elite.

I'm seriously expecting an announcement on the release of Space Farmville for facebook and Elite mobile for Android and IOS. The game seems to be getting less and less like the game we were sold at kickstarter with each update.

The wonderful thing about this game, is that none of these things are mandatory.

1. We paid more than retail to alpha/beta test.
2. xbox users are paying less than retail to beta test.
3. We already have an experienced pvp community with hundreds of hours of flight time who are better suited to give feedback on a pvp module.
4. We didn't want the arena module to start with because we've been crying out for content and hoped fd would be putting their time in to new content rather than an arena module. Since they didn't put the time in to content for the main game (stuff from the ddf etc) we feel entitled to have access to it as for a lot of payers we feel like we're in limbo right now waiting for fixes or promised content.
5. 1.3 breaks some of the pvp roles so a lot of players are looking for something to do until fd fix it. Tons of reported bugs from the beta bug forum are still in the game.
6. A lot of us think the 1.3 release was half baked due to them working on the E3 release (see 5).

I have no problems with an Arena mode, though it looks like another feature that I won't touch with a bargepole. I want to explore space, and I wish they would concentrate on features that enrich the universe and fill it with interesting mechanics and things to explore (not powerplay)

I am just fearful , what if over time the game gets dumbed down and the graphics start to lower , what if in the future the Xbox gets tones of extras we dont get?

I love PP but I hear you , I was hoping for some exploration or trade expansion

As a Prem Beta backer I'm pretty disgusted if it's a long exclusivity to the CQC content. I would relish to play that content now. Making out that it's some kind of benefit to me that Xbox players get to enjoy an Arena based game for a period while I do not is disingenuous. This is content held hostage as part of a sales pitch to console users. It benefits Microsoft and I assume it benefits Frontier financially if Microsoft is paying for the exclusivity in some way. I feel like I'm being lied to by someone that thinks I'm stupid.

I do not want the PC to get the content first or anything, I just don't want parts of the game I backed hacked off to hock consoles games.

I'm happy about the PvP combat
Don't care about it being on Xbone first. Sometimes business decisions are more persuasive.

As a backer I must say I dont understand your problems with CQC or Xbox.

Let me vote for both:

E) Dont care about CQC, will try it when it arrives on PC. Looking forward to Xbox videos.

F) GG, Frontier, get them monies, so you can pay more people to develop this absolutely awesome game further.

Edit: one more option to vote for:

G) I will buy 51% of FD shares and then make them do things my way. Alternatively I will start my own space game and do it there.

when we get nothing, not even information for 3+ months at a time ... more releases per year than we're currently getting? I don't know, I don't have the magic answer to solve all the problems.

im starting to feel really ashamed that i am a beta backer,
never in my life i would had imagine that i would be part of such a self entitled, whiny little group of dinosaurs.
think FD would probably be best of if they just build us a theme park somewhere out on a remote island and then throw away the key.
