Newcomer / Intro can the mousse be setup to be used in the side menus. And the wheel?

I am using keys now to navigate the navigation and contacts menus and I want to use the mouse. How do I do this? Thanks

You can't unfortunately. If you are a mouse/kb user your ship will flail around whilst navigating the menus as it is still reading the mouse input. FD don't want to lock you on your current heading when accessing the menus as many people (myself included) use them constantly during combat so you would be a sitting duck.

As KB/M user I found it a bit cumbersome accessing the side menus at first, but you soon get used to it and becomes second nature. Personally I'm still a bit slow at accessing modules to target in a fight but each time gets a bit quicker and there's always times when the enemy is effectively out of range which gives a bit of a breather to do this selection.
