Can we all take just a moment to celebrate?

So in recent gaming news it looks like the disgusting edifice of Activision/Blizzard is starting to collapse..

Can we get a LOL in the comments. xD

I think that warrants a beer.

o7 Ladies and Gentlemen.

(Apologies for off topic or if I put it in the wrong place, but I thought it would raise the collective mood a little.)

Is this the company that released its latest edition of a long running game; without a single player off line mode?

If it is; sorry that could be my fault, because when the game came out, I sort of mentioned smiting them for it.

Activision was always cancer, going right back to the Atari/Amiga days.

I for one won't miss them. It is a shame about Blizzard, they did some great games back in the day.

Why would I celebrate people losing jobs?

I'm with you - unless it's the marketing bigwigs who made the terrible decisions that led these companies to their current predicament. Overwatch was one of my favorite games for a long time, so I'm hoping Blizzard rallies under new management instead of just collapsing.

Not true Heavy Gear 2 was a great Activision game, it had space legs with magnetic boots, maneuvering packs and everything. Your mortars stopped working in zero G as well the shells just sailed off which was a nice touch.

That would be something, if the cutbacks were actually the people pushing out bad products/ideas!

Anywho, if no coding jobs available at least some coal mines are firing back up.

800 staff being laid off in a record financial year.

Have fun celebrating the families losing their income while the company you hate is doing tremendously well.

I dunno,
Don't work for a crap company that has slowly been degrading in quality over the past years?
Have multiple sources of income?
Have alternative job skills that translate over to other job fields.
Don't put all your eggs into "i'm gonna work for this company forever and get a nice cushy retirement" plan, because your an idiot if you do.
Self education?
You know just the basics for living in these chaotic and turbulent economic times. I'm just spitballin here.

Might sound a little harsh and I am not saying the layoffs are justified what so ever. But I am not going to Boo-Hoo for a bunch of people I don't know and cry "injustice!" And "corperate greed!" Into my local internet blog or youtube video.

yes, that is harsh.

But they were responsible for bringing us 'The last ninja' in 87, that game was a joystick smasher due to some of the almost impossible jumps you would lose multiple lives on.
