Can we drop materials for other players to pick up?

Only the Commodities that get stored in Inventory. Not the things under Materials and Data.

no you cant drop them, if you vent them they are gone for ever.

if you ask me its a missed chance, it would have made more player to player interaction.
sometimes i think Elite is some sort of identity crisis, it cant make up his mind if its a spacesim or MMO..
