Can we fix the accidental hits bounties, please? Make accidental hits reduce your REP instead.

For multicannons there's no problem, because it takes an awful lot of hits to get a bounty.

The problem is with Cannons and Missiles and other high-damage single-shot weapons. A single hit will earn you a bounty and then the fun's over.

I'd like to see this changed so damage to allies instead reduces your reputation, first. Only when you go below Neutral do you start to get bounties. That way allied factions give you a much larger grace period, while neutral or hostile factions immediately start shooting back, making a lot more sense from a lore perspective.

+1
Untargeted hits should have a high threshold before a bounty. Especially guided missiles.
If they get spoofed and change target, there's literally nothing you can do to stop them.

Incidentally I've also managed to shot myself because of this feature. 😄

The fun isn't over when you get a bounty on you. Just turn around, boost away and go straight to the interstellar factor to clear your bounty, then you can carry on as if nothing happened.

Unfortunately, that can take anywhere from 10 minutes to half an hour, for something that can happen almost immediately when you get back.

I don't think that's acceptable for anyone, but it's especially egregious when you don't have much time to play due to work/other responsibilities.
