I think it's been shown by now that issues are not going to be dropped until there is a dev response. The coat variations are obviously not working as it was implied they would. Simply letting the community know it's being worked on would be nice. Even if it's not a priority just let us know you intend to add that in, in a later update. Communicating clearly makes people much more understanding. Staying silent on these issues makes people feel misled.

I would also like to know if this will soon be in the Game. It would be a lot more Fun if not almost every Animal would look the same.
I think, I've read somewhere it needed some Time to implement the Possibility to change Terrain in Jurassic World Evolution even though it was shown in the first Trailer. Maybe this means we can expect it but we just need to wait some Time.

An actual statement on this would be fantastic and much appreciated. Just let us know that it’s bugged, or in progress, because right now it feels as though they’re ignoring the issue since they’ve decided not to include it.
I haven’t played the game since November because, for me, the individuality and variation of the animals was enormously important. Without it, the game feels repetitive and pointless. Please let us know what’s going on, this was a feature that was part of marketing the game.

That's my assumption as well. I know a frustrated Elite Dangerous player will come to try to prove me wrong, but I don't see Frontier as EA or a company that promise something that isn't there. However, yes, the topic of the coat variations had been brought up so many times by now that it really is time for a statement on why there aren't for examplk different colored lions like in the dev diary and why even in the zebras maaaany animals in an unrelated herd are just clones. I haven't had enough African wolfdogs yet to talk about them, but other players do.Same with elephants of both regions, as far as I know.
I really think it's a bug like the peafowl feather thing, but I'd love an official statement on this.

Disappointed with lack of coat variation in wolves
It seems like such a simple thing to make - recolours can be done within one working week. Carbon copy animals are boring and none of us got the game that was advertised and which we paid for. The animals are clones - visually and behaviourally. Even the wild dogs (which really only need varied...
